On August 6, 2024, What The Duck revealed that they would be announcing a new artist[1]; On August 9, this was confirmed to be TeyaTaye. In the same post it was confirmed that she would be debuting on August 13 with the digital single "Hey loser, stop crying".[2]
On October 23, 2024, it was confirmed that she would be releasing her second digital single on October 29[3]; The single was later confirmed to be titled "True or false" on October 26.[4]
