On January 11, 2022, Pretzelle teased their upcoming comeback "Ready or Not?", which would be released soon^[1]; One day later, it was confirmed that the song would be released on streaming sites on January 23.^[2]

Composition[]

"Ready or Not?" is described as a classic dance-pop songwith a modern twist. "Ready or Not" tells a story of wanting to be more than just friends in a modern, retro-soul number.^[3]

"Ready or Not?" is produced and arranged by Benz Kakanat, with the lyrics being written by Season Five member Aek; It's also the first song in which a members, Ice, participated in writing the lyrics, by writing her rap part.^[3]
