Pretzelle Day (stylized in all caps) is the debut mini album by Pretzelle. It was released on May 21, 2020 with "Never Give Up" serving as the album's title track.

It is the group's final release following the departures of members Nana and Bamee.[1][2]

Background[]

On March 25, 2020, Pretzelle released a statement announcing that their debut would be postponed due to the outbreak of COVID-19.[3] On May 18, the group announced their official debut with the mini album Pretzelle Day, which would be released exclusively on JOOX on May 21; The album was released a week later on other streaming sites on May 28.[4][5] The pre-orders for the album and a matching photo set opened on June 29, with shipping starting from July 27.[6]

Composition[]

"Never Give Up" is described as a pop dance piece. The song talks about the beginning of courtship between two people where the male counterparts are trying to prove themselves, and the female counterpart isn't too free-spirited but does want to give supportive notes to him.[7]

Reception[]

On June 13, 2020, the title track "Never Give Up" passed its first milestone of 100 thousand views, 23 days after its release.[8]
