Pretzelle (Thai: เพรทเซล; Japanese: プレッツェル) is a three-member girl group under 54 Entertainment. They debuted on May 21, 2020 with the mini album Pretzelle Day.

History[]

Pre-debut[]

On January 19, 2020, Pretzelle opened their official social media accounts.[1] From January 26 to 29, introductions to the groups members, Nana, Bamee, Ice and Inc, were respectively released.[2][3][4][5]

2020: Debut with Pretzelle Day, departure of Nana[]

On March 25, Pretzelle released a statement announcing that their debut would be postponed due to the outbreak of COVID-19.[6] On May 18, the group announced their official debut with the mini album Pretzelle Day, which would be released exclusively on JOOX on May 21; The album was released a week later on other streaming sites on May 28.[7][8] The pre-orders for the album and a matching photo set opened on June 29, with shipping starting from July 27.[9]

On July 4, Pretzelle released a statement announcing that Nana had decided to end her role as a member of the group due to personal reasons.[10]

On August 12, the group announced their first fansign event "Mini Album Pretzelle Day FANSIGN".[11]

2021: Departure of Bamee, new members, "First Love", "Missin' U"[]

On January 12, Pretzelle released a statement announcing that Bamee had been removed from the group due to neglecting her duties and responsibilities as a member of the group; After multiple warnings including trying hard to negotiate to find an agreement the situation did not improve, thus leaving the staff no other choice than to cancel her role as a member to prevent damage to the group in the future.[12]

On January 13, Pretzelle introduced two new members, Aumaim and Grace, to the group.[13]

On January 29, the group announced their first-ever comeback with their first special single, set to be released on February 8[14]; The title was later confirmed to be "First Love" on January 31.[15]

Their fandom name was announced to be 'Twist' on February 23.[16]

On September 13, Pretzelle released a statement announcing the postponement of their comeback album due to COVID-19; However, still wanting to preview it to fans, they announced the release of one of the songs on the album as a special single on September 21.[17] The song was confirmed to be titled "Missin' U" on September 14.[18]
