PLAN B (Thai: แพลนบี; Korean: 플랜비) was a four-member multinational boy group under MyPlan Entertainment. Originally as five, they made their debut on August 17, 2023 with the single album "1 Percent".
The group informally disbanded in early 2025 following internal complications and communication difficulties between the members and their agency.[1]
History[]
2023: Debut with "1%"[]
On May 19, 2023, the group's official SNS accounts were opened along with the announcement of their debut single album "1%".[2] The members were later revealed on May 22, along with the announcement that they would be debuting on August 17.[3]
2024: Departure of James[]
On January 18, PLAN B announced that James had departed from the group.[4]
2025: Controversy and disbandment[]
On April 26, Roy, backed by former member James, a friend of both SW:C members Hwi and Wangseok, as well as PLAN B company's staff came forward with numerous accusations about the two former PLAN B members. While Wangseok is accused of physical assault and mockery against Roy, both him and Hwi are also accused of bad behavior by a friend and fleeing and cutting all contact with the group and company without notice by the staff.[5] DND ENS and DNA Entertainment stated that the assault and mockery were a result of language barriers and that Hwi and Wangseok returned to Korea while neither had signed a contract with PLAN B's company.[6] Following this statement, Roy also claimed that Wangseok sexually harassed James and smoked indoors. Both SW:C members were accused of property damage and infidelity.[7] DND E&S and DNA Entertainment denied all allegations and confirmed plans to pursue legal action. They also asked to meet with MyPlan and Roy for an open discussion.[8] MyPlan stated that the two Korean members did leave the group and company without warning and claimed manipulation of evidence by DND and DNA.[9] Former PLAN B member Hao confirmed the allegations against Hwi and Wongseok made by MyPlan.[10]
On April 27, the social media account SWC_Official posted a screenshot alleging that MyPlan Entertainment had unilaterally announced the disbandment of the Thai-South Korean boy group PLAN B. In response, MyPlan Entertainment issued a public clarification on April 29, disputing the claims and offering further context. According to the statement, contrary to claims that the group disbanded while preparing for a comeback in April 2024, MyPlan asserted that PLAN B was actively preparing for new activities despite financial difficulties within the company. The agency claimed that new songs had already been recorded, choreography rehearsals were underway, and preparations for a music video concept were in progress.[1]
During this period, member Han was required to return to South Korea to fulfill mandatory military service obligations, while fellow member Hwi returned for personal reasons, including visiting family. MyPlan stated that shortly after, PLAN B’s official social media accounts were deleted, and both members removed references to the group from their personal profiles. The company reported repeated failed attempts to contact the two members and their representatives in Thailand, leading to an unofficial dissolution of the group.[1]
On April 26, Kang DND E&S contacted MyPlan requesting a formal public statement about PLAN B’s disbandment. MyPlan stated that they were considering such a statement to prevent further distress among fans and involved parties. However, they alleged that on April 28, excerpts of private phone conversations were leaked and misrepresented in an attempt to pressure the company into issuing a statement. Additional posts included accusations against member Roy, which the company described as distorted and defamatory. In its statement, MyPlan confirmed that Roy remains under contract with the agency and indicated that legal action would be pursued in response to SWC_Official’s conduct.[1]
