Background

On February 2, 2024, Mirai Mirai released a preview of their upcoming first single album, revealed to be titled "Octa". On February 29, the group announced their debut stage, Mugen na Mirai, where they would be performing the single for the first time. On March 29, it was revealed that the music video for the single would be released on April 4; This was followed on April 2 by the announcement that the single would be released on streaming sites on April 8, marking the groups official debut.
