LYKN (ไลแคน) is a five-member project boy group under RISER MUSIC. Formed through the survival show Project Alpha, they debuted on May 5, 2023 with the digital single "May I?".
LYKN is a homophone of lycan, which stands for the ability of a human being able to transform into a werewolf anytime.[1]
History[]
Pre-debut[]
On October 16, 2022, GMMTV Records announced their upcoming survival show, Project Alpha.[2] Between October 18 and October 23, all twenty-eight contestants were introduced.
The first episode of Project Alpha premiered on December 4, 2022. The finale was broadcasted live on March 5, 2023. During the finale, five contestants were revealed to make their debut; William ranked first overall, followed by Lego who ranked second, Tui ranked third, Hong ranked fourth, and finally, Nut ranked fifth overall.
On April 5, 2023, the boy group was introduced as a new talent under RISER MUSIC by taking part in their launching event "GET RISING TO RISER". At the same event, their group name was revealed to be "LYKN".[3]
