LAZ1 (Thai: ลาซวัน; Japanese: ラズワン) was a five-member project boy group under OneMusic. Formed through the survival show LAZ iCON, they made their debut on April 7, 2022 with the digital single "Taste Me".
The group promoted together for approximately a year before disbanding on March 11, 2023, after their final event LAZ1 Goodbye Party "Once".[1] After their disbandment, they still performed together at events under the group's name.
History[]
Pre-debut[]
On September 17, 2021, one31 released a teaser about the upcoming survival show, LAZ iCON.[2] All 35 contestants were introduced a week later on September 25.[3]
The first episode of LAZ iCON premiered on October 9, 2021. The finale was broadcasted live on January 9, 2022. During the finale, five contestants were revealed to make their debut; Daou ranked first overall, followed by Offroad who ranked second, Diamond ranked third, Geler ranked fourth, and finally, Pentor ranked fifth overall.
On March 22, 2022, the group's official social media accounts were opened, and a motion video of their logo was posted.[4] On the same day, the group held their first livestream 'LAZ1 LIVE 1ST NIGHT TO MEET YOU', in which they chose their fandom name together with fans and revealed their fandom colors. Their fandom name was chosen to be LAZER, with the fandom colors being Jet Black and Light Blue.[5]
2022: Debut with "Taste Me"[]
On March 27, the release plan for the group's upcoming debut was revealed.[6] The group officially debuted on April 7, with the digital single "Taste Me".[7]
On September 23, the group announced their first official photobook "RAW".[8]
