"Iiwake Maybe" (Japanese: 言い訳Maybe) is the 15th digital single by BNK48. It was released on February 27, 2023, as a pre-release single for their 13th single album "Iiwake Maybe".
Background[]
On December 28, 2022, BNK48 released an announcement video revealing the group's 13th single album scheduled to be released in 2023. In the announcement it was revealed that the title track would be "Iiwake Maybe", with Pancake being chosen as center position.[1]
On February 19, 2023, the release schedule for "Iiwake Maybe" was posted, revealing the music video would be released on the 26th, with the song being released on streaming sites one day later.[2]
