DICE (ไดซ์) is a 10-member boy group under SONRAY MUSIC. They debuted on March 19, 2024 with the digital single "Mona Lisa".
The group name symbolizes moving forward, with a mix of enjoyment and excitement.[2]
History[]
Pre-debut[]
On August 15, 2022, 789 AUDITION opened their official SNS accounts and announced that they were opening auditions for any males born between 2001 and 2009 to finalize their trainee line-up, which already consisted of 14 trainees; All final 24 trainees would compete as 789 SURVIVAL to secure their place in the debut line-up. The show premiered on May 26, 2023, and the live finale was broadcast on August 11, 2023; Alex, Apo, Cheese, Frame, Jay, Jisang, Maddoc, Min, Obo and Otto ended up not making the final group, but became trainees under SONRAY MUSIC as part of 789TRAINEE.
On February 29, 2024, SONRAY MUSIC announced that they will be debuting a new boy group in March.[3] The group will include all 789TRAINEE members, except for Yuwatanabe, who decided not to debut with the group earlier that month.[4]
2024: Debut with "Mona Lisa"[]
On March 1, the group launched their social media accounts and announced that they would be debuting on March 19[5]; The title was later confirmed to be "Mona Lisa" on March 16.[6]
